About RUMC

Roberdell United Methodist Church is a small country church serving Roberdell NC with a peaceful, friendly, traditional church service. Also serving Green Lake, Ledbetter & Bear Branch.

RUMC was established in 1887 by several families in the Roberdell community. These families include the Baxley, Reynolds, Terry, Covington, Easterling, Crouch, Garris, Baker, Rainwater, Hamilton, Dobbins, Gibson, Meacham, Blake, Webb, Warner, Ballard, Bostick, Baldwin, Smith, Ormsby, McIntosh, Hall, Lipe, Shaw and Taylor families. The first church was situated across the road from the present church building. The current church building was completed in 1954.
